Klaus Pohl  -  Author. Klaus was born in 1952 in Rothenbrug ob der Tauber and is one of Germany's most acclaimed contemporary playwrights. Klaus Pohl holds a degree in acting from the Max-Reinhardt-Seminar at the University for Music and Arts in Berlin, Germany. At the age of 30 he became the first living German playwright in almost 30 years to have a world premiere at the prstigious Burgtheater in Vienna, Austria. He is a recipient of the Schiller Award for Literature, Gerhard Hauptmann Drama Award, The Muehlheim Drama Award, the German Critics Award For The Best Play Of The Year, among others. After graduating from Pratt University with a Bachelor of Arts he started working as a freelance illustrator for such clients as The New York Times, Nickelodeon, The New Yorker, MTV, and High Times. In 2005 Max began working for the New Yorker Magazine as an art director. Lucie Pohl - Actress, Co-Author and Translator of the Toppler Trilogy. Lucie was born in 1983 in Hamburg, Germany and grew up in New York. After graduating high school in New York she studied acting at the University of the Arts in Berlin, Germany. Since 2004 Lucie has been working as an actress and writer in Germany and the US.
